The surveys aimed to find out about voting experiences and understanding of the referendum

The surveys aimed to:

  • measure how satisfied voters are with our services
  • understand how engaged people are with the voting process and what’s stopping them from voting
  • find out how well people understood the referendum on the voting system.

The surveys highlight groups of interest

The surveys highlight results for groups that are less likely to enrol and vote.

These groups are people who identify themselves mainly as:

  • Māori
  • Pasifika
  • Asian
  • aged 18 to 29 years old
  • non-voters.
