Applications to register political party logos

The Electoral Commission has received two applications to register a political party logo under Part 4 of the Electoral Act 1993.

Name and address of applicant: Graham S Hart, Honorary Secretary, 99 MP Party, P.O. Box 17 411, Karori, Wellington.

Party Name: The New Zealand National Party

Name and address of applicant: Steven Joyce, General Manager, The New Zealand National Party, P.O. Box 1155, Wellington.

A copy of these logos may be inspected at the office of the Electoral Commission, Level 6, Greenock House, 39 The Terrace, Wellington, on working days between 9 am and 4 pm.  Any person who wishes to draw the Commission's attention to any matter referred to in sections 63A, 64, or 65A of the Electoral Act 1993 or to any other relevant matter concerning the registration of these party logos should write to the Chief Executive, Electoral Commission, P.O. Box 3050, Wellington, facsimile 04 474 0674, before Friday, 13 May 2005.
